Executive Director Steffani Fields was incredibly honored to be invited to represent The WASH Foundation at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting in New York City. This prestigious event brought together leaders from business, government, and civil society to address pressing global challenges.
Steffani presented our 2024 TWF Commitment to Action , focusing on expanding WASH programming in the Dominican Republic. This aligns with our ongoing efforts to improve community health through our WASH-in-Schools Program.
The Critical Role
The two-day event featured an impressive lineup of speakers and attendees, including the Clinton family, President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Bill Gates, Matt Damon, Jane Goodall, and Chef José Andrés. Discussions centered on four key areas: climate resilience, inclusive economic growth, health equity, and humanitarian efforts. All of these topics intersect with our work in WASH, highlighting the critical role of water, sanitation, and hygiene in addressing global challenges.
Looking Ahead
The WASH Foundation is proud to be part of this global community of changemakers. We look forward to leveraging these new connections to further our mission of improving health through increased access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene resources.
We’re excited to see how this experience will enhance our impact and help us reach more communities in need.
