The WASH Foundation Partners with All Hands and Hearts for Hurricane Beryl Relief

The WASH Foundation joined forces with All Hands and Hearts to bring much-needed relief to the community of Hallandale Beach, Florida, following the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl. Through The WASH Foundation’s Disaster Response Program, our dedicated team collaborates with on-the-ground organizations and government agencies to deliver vital hygiene supplies, access to clean water, and other essential items to affected communities.

Hurricane Beryl unleashed torrential rainfall, dumping 20 inches of rain across South Florida, with Broward and Miami-Dade Counties bearing the brunt of the storm. The resulting massive flooding left many communities in dire need of assistance. In these emergent situations, prioritizing proper water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) becomes crucial to mitigate the impact on health and well-being.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of All Hands and Hearts volunteers, who worked directly in the affected areas, we were able to distribute hygiene kits to the residents of Hallandale Beach as they embarked on the difficult journey of recovery. The direct impact of our collaborative efforts reached 194 individuals, ensuring they had access to resources necessary to maintain their health and hygiene during this challenging time.

The WASH Foundation remains committed to supporting disaster-stricken communities by providing essential WASH-related supplies and services. Together with our partners, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by disasters, helping them to rebuild and recover with dignity and hope.
