Environmental sustainability continues to be a priority for Deloitte, a leading global provider of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services. Advancing their progress on sustainability and climate change has been prominent on the agenda of their Societal Impact Council, a senior leadership group focused on Deloitte’s social impact and responsible business. Council participants include members of the Deloitte Global Board of Directors, the Deloitte Global Executive, and other senior leaders.
Clean the World is proud to have been hand-picked by Deloitte for the launch of their Zero Waste Initiative, which aims to limit and hopefully eliminate the environmental impact of their corporate volunteer events.
The initiative’s pilot event, which took place at the Clean the World Headquarters in Orlando, Fl on June 9, 2023, is the second time that Deloitte partners with Clean the World to engage their employees via a volunteer event. On that day the 67 participants made a huge impact: their 165 combined volunteer hours resulted in packing over 69,200 recycled Clean the World soap bars and sorting out over 8,900 bars of soap and 5750 plastic amenity bottles, which were later recycled.
