Over the last year, The WASH Foundation has experienced many internal and external changes. As we welcome all the new changes of 2023, one thing that has remained consistent is the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. Over the past year, we have hosted over 11,000 volunteers between our Orlando and Las Vegas warehouses.
One especially fantastic achievement we would like to celebrate is the development of various volunteer programs this year. Our “Soaper Heroes” and our “Silver Bubbles” programs began as small ideas and have become a thriving reminder that anyone can help make the world a better place. Our Soaper Heroes represent our exceptionally-abled and differently-abled volunteers, and our Silver Bubbles represent our 65+ volunteers.
We want to thank the following Soaper Heroes for their dedication and hard work: Quest Kids Academy and their training center, Bishop Grady Villas/Magnify, Oak Ridge High School, Winter Park High School, and Neuro Restorative. Without you, we truly would not be able to do what we do!
And to our Silver Bubbles at the Westminster Communities of Florida (e.g., Towers, Winter Park, and Baldwin Park), thank you for your commitment to making the world a better place. This past summer, our oldest volunteer in the history of Clean the World, Ms. Betty, aged 99, gave back at our Orlando warehouse. We are all genuinely inspired by the amazing work our volunteers accomplish, regardless of age, background, or circumstance.
Beyond our growing volunteer programs, we are thrilled with the number of volunteer partners and groups we worked with this year. We thank the following groups for their continued support and partnerships: Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Target, JetBlue Orlando, Naples Hotel Group, Correct Craft & Ski Nautique, The Orlando Magic, Universal Orlando, and Disney.
