Help The WASH Foundation support California Wildfire Response

The California wildfires have left a trail of devastation across Southern California. More than 16,255 structures have been destroyed, including 6,834 in the Palisades Fire and over 9,000 in the Eaton Fire. The fires have scorched over 47,645 acres across multiple blazes. Recent rains have helped firefighting efforts but created new challenges with mudslides and road closures. The scale of this disaster is almost unfathomable. The WASH Foundation is responding with critical hygiene support.

Our $100,000 fundraising goal will provide essential hygiene supplies, cover distribution costs, and build more kits for those affected. These kits are crucial in preventing illness, as research shows 50% of people experience health issues following disasters, often due to poor sanitation and limited clean water access.

Vital Sanitation: Our WASH Efforts in Disaster Relief

In evacuation centers and temporary shelters, proper sanitation is vital. Our work in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) goes beyond immediate relief—it’s a shield against potential health crises in the disaster’s aftermath.

These hygiene kits contain items such as soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo, among other items and are designed for people who find themselves in a temporary shelter.
