Homeless populations are among those most at risk for developing hygiene related illnesses in North America. Daily hygiene habits play a critical role in not only keeping them clean but also preventing the spread of disease from person to person. Many homeless people can go days, weeks, and even months without a shower, because they can’t get basic hygiene supplies like soap and have no access to running water. At Clean the World Foundation, we believe everyone deserves to feel the basic comfort and dignity of cleanliness.

That’s why we launched the Fresh Start WASH and Wellness Program to address the hygiene needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. However, we don’t just provide a shower, we also help connect them with homeless service organizations that can help them get a “Fresh Start.” The unit serves as an entry point for the homeless, to help connect them to critical resources that will put them on the path to self-sufficiency.
