Duke Energy Builds Hygiene Kits for Charlotte’s Homeless

Back in December, Duke Energy came together to assemble 400 hygiene kits that were donated to the Harvest Center of Charlotte. This organization works within the homeless community by providing food, clothing, shelter, bus passes, medical assistance, etc. They have showers, but regularly are asked for hygiene kits like ours.
“We have several neighbors who are “regulars” to us and often ask for hygiene kits to shave, clean up and brush teeth. Jerry is a military veteran who has a hard time walking around and these kits have been a great assistance to him. He was fascinated in the way that the soap is recycled and able to be reused.” – Matthew S. Daniels, Director of Core Services & Volunteerism, Harvest Center of Charlotte
